Systems Engineer for Managed Services and Consulting
Division
Essential Duties:
- Design and implementation at the network
level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls,
and security
- Design and implement hosted and cloud solutions
for customers using technologies that meet their requirements
- Design
and implement disaster recovery solutions
- IT support relating
to issues with the internal systems and network infrastructure
- Support
services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows
Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
- Support services
for virtualization technologies: VMware, Citrix, and
Microsoft
- Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal
Services, and Citrix
Additional Duties:
- Ability to work in a team and communicate
effectively
- Escalate service or project issues that cannot
be completed within agreed service levels
- Business awareness:
specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates
to their business strategy and goals
- Review IT publications
and online materials to remain up-to-date with current
and future technologies emerging in the industry
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience with Network Maintenance,
Network Design and Implementation.
- Good oral and written
communication skills
- Exceptional analytic and problem
solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal
supervision
- 2+ years experience with Switches, Routers
and Firewalls
- 2+ years experience with IP Networks,
DNS and Routing
- 1+ years experience with VMware and
Virtualization Technology
- 1+ years supporting Microsoft
Windows Server 2008/2003
- 2+ years experience with Microsoft
desktop O/S and Office applications
- 2+ years experience
with Server and PC Hardware
- 1+ years experience with
Network Monitoring and Management Tools
Our Position:
The systems engineer function is responsible
for assessing, designing, implementing, documenting and
supporting complex IT systems infrastructure environments
for a wide variety of customers ranging from small businesses
to enterprise organizations. In addition to a competitive
