Systems Engineer for Managed Services and Consulting Division

Essential Duties:

Design and implementation at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
Design and implement hosted and cloud solutions for customers using technologies that meet their requirements
Design and implement disaster recovery solutions
IT support relating to issues with the internal systems and network infrastructure
Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
Support services for virtualization technologies: VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft
Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix

Additional Duties:

Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels
Business awareness: specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals
Review IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry

Skills/Qualifications:

Experience with Network Maintenance, Network Design and Implementation.
Good oral and written communication skills
Exceptional analytic and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
2+ years experience with Switches, Routers and Firewalls
2+ years experience with IP Networks, DNS and Routing
1+ years experience with VMware and Virtualization Technology
1+ years supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2003
2+ years experience with Microsoft desktop O/S and Office applications
2+ years experience with Server and PC Hardware
1+ years experience with Network Monitoring and Management Tools

The systems engineer function is responsible for assessing, designing, implementing, documenting and supporting complex IT systems infrastructure environments for a wide variety of customers ranging from small businesses to enterprise organizations.
